The couple dropped Everything Is Love, a nine-song (plus one Tidal-only bonus track) collection, on June 16. They also released the album’s first visual, “Apeshit.”
#EverythingIsLove quickly trended on social media, with fans and artists commenting on the surprise. Beyoncé’s rapping skills, the new music being exclusive to Tidal on its release day and the fact that it came right after Nas’ Nasir album were all topics that made their way into Twitter reactions.
“Jay Z shouted me out once again!!!! God damn…. #RocNation I’m coming home,” Chief Keef wrote.
“What the fuck? A sneaky Jay Z and Beyoncé album just appeared on @Tidal SMH just ruined my plans for the next hour,” Charlamagne Tha God said.
