I know because earlier this month I found myself in one of these tests buckets, after I noticed some new “contact pages” icons appearing at the top of the Facebook chat sidebar… To be clear, the sidebar is the messaging shortcut area at the right hand side of the Facebook News Feed (when you visit Facebook on the desktop). Trump Solar Duties Strike At $161 Billion China-Led Industry

President Donald Trump’s tariffs on solar-panel imports to the U.S. are a swipe at an industry that drew in $161 billion of investment globally last year and is dominated by companies in China. The move may add 10 percent to the cost of a utility-scale solar farm in the U.S. and about 4 percent to rooftop units bought for homes, according to a report Tuesday by Bloomberg New Energy Finance. GTM Research estimated it may cut U.S. installations by 11 percent over the next five years. But the decision is unlikely to reshape the economics of the photovoltaic business or threaten China’s leadership of the industry. “The global solar industry will adjust,” Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency, said Tuesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “I don’t ...

The 38.5 billion-euro ($47 billion) infrastructure project, dubbed ‘Grand Paris,’ will involve building 124 miles (200 kilometers) of track and 68 stations but it’s being delayed because the government can’t decide which of the lines should be sacrificed in the first wave as cost projections mount. Each is linked to one of the president’s pet projects — sites for the 2024 Olympic Games, a research center for artificial intelligence, Chinese investments or the unemployment-ridden suburbs. Macron, who speaks at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland Wednesday, had promised a final decision ...
