As The Voice gets closer and closer to crowning a new champion, next week’s live shows will also include some star-powered performances from Charlie Puth, 5 Seconds of Summer and The Voice‘s very own Kelly Clarkson.
First up is Coach Clarkson, who will perform her awe-inspiring new single “I Don’t Think About You” on May 7. Then, on the next night’s live telecast May 8, 5 Seconds of Summer will bring their evocative single “Want You Back” to The Voice stage, while Puth will perform the live television debut of his Kehlani-assisted hit “Done for Me.”
As for The Voice contestants, they’ll be facing “Challenge Week” on May 7 and 8, which could see the 10 remaining artists — Rayshun LaMarr and Jackie Verna (Team Adam); Britton Buchanan, Christiana Danielle and Jackie Foster (Team Alicia); Pryor Baird, Spensha Baker and Kyla Jade (Team Blake); and Brynn Cartelli and Kaleb Lee (Team Kelly) — tackling something they see as a challenge on their journey, whether it’s a song or performance style.
Puth’s performance comes just days before his sophomore album VoiceNotes drops May 11. 5 Seconds of Summer, meanwhile, will release their highly anticipated third LP Youngblood on June 22. Clarkson, who released her eighth studio album Meaning of Life in October, will serve as the host of this year’s Billboard Music Awards on May 20 and will also perform at the show.
