Kelechi Iheanacho had a goal and two assists as Nigeria came back to defeat Argentina. Alex Iwobi scored twice as Nigeria rallied from a two-goal deficit to beat Argentina 4-2 in a friendly in Russia on Tuesday. Playing without the rested Lionel Messi, Argentina opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Ever Banega scored from a free kick, and it was 2-0 shortly afterward when Cristian Pavon crossed for Sergio Aguero to tap in. But Nigeria turned it around when Kelechi Iheanacho put a free kick past keeper Agustin Marchesin before the break, then set up Iwobi and Brian Idowu to score two minutes apart early in the second half. Iheanacho found Iwobi in the centre of the box to equalise with a first-time shot, then Idowu pounced to score from 18 yards after the Leicester man’s loose t...

Depeche Mode Manager Jonathan Kessler: ‘Friction Is What Keeps Them Creative’

The press shy Kessler talks exclusively with Billboard about the band’s longevity, those “experimental” years in the mid-’90s and more ahead of being honored at the sixth annual Artist & Manager Awards. In 1986, a 22-year-old Jonathan Kessler — fresh from graduating from the business school at the University of Pennsylvania — began working for Depeche Mode as an accountant during the British band’s Black Celebration tour. Over the next seven years, as the group went from strength to strength, releasing a string of classic albums along the way, Kessler’s responsibilities steadily grew until in 1994 the New York-born executive, still aged under 30, became Depeche Mode’s first ever official manager. With Cristiano Ronaldo’s career winding down, Shaka Hislop feels Neymar is a worthy successor for Real Madrid. Mbappe, Cavani, Neymar and more PSG stars turned into superheroes to celebrate the global release of ‘Justice League.’ PARIS — When Paris Saint-Germain beat Manchester City to the signing of Dani Alves on a free transfer, many stated their belief that the French capital outfit were paying over the odds for a once great right-back on the decline. Best American Music Awards Performances No. 4: Billy Gilman Shows Off His ‘One Voice’ at the 2001 AMAs

In honor of the 2017 American Music Awards, Billboard is counting down the best performances from the awards show’s history. Here is No. 4. More recently, Billy Gilman came in second place to Sundance Head in Season 11 of NBC’s The Voice. Fifteen years before that, he was a 13-year-old kid singing his single “One Voice” at the 2001 AMAs. “One Voice” had peaked a year earlier at No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. Before his AMAs performance, Gilman was introduced as “the youngest artist to ever have a Platinum album on the country charts.” A pint-sized Gilman starts to sing in a boyish voice and black leather jacket. Between verses, the young Gilman can’t help but grin. A quaint performance featuring Gilman bobbing up and down on stage leads up ...

Harry Styles Returns to ‘X Factor’ Stage in First Solo Performance

The One Direction heartthrob took the stage for the first time since performing with the group in 2012. Harry Styles returned to the X Factor UK stage on Saturday night for the first time in five years — and for the first time, performed on the show without his One Direction bandmates.  Styles performed his blistering rock track “Kiwi” in a royal purple suit and coifed hairdo — which fans said channeled David Bowie and Bruno Mars — and evoked Mick Jagger with his performance. Judge Simon Cowell watched as his former protégé from the show’s 2010 season rocked the stage, proving that he’s worthy of the success that the show first brought him.  Styles’ performance marks the first time that any of the One Direction members have taken the X Factor...
