Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Roll Up to the Golden Globes With ‘Filthy’ Sing-Along

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel looked the part of the elegant Hollywood couple on the Golden Globes red carpet, but they let loose in a “Filthy” sing-along on the way there. The couple grooved along to Timberlake’s latest single in the car, with the singer in the front seat and his wife — nominated this year for best actress in a miniseries or television film, for her role in The Sinner — showing off some moves in the back.  In a clip posted by Timberlake on Twitter Sunday night (Jan. 7), Biel is heard loudly singing the line “And they ain’t leavin’ ’til six in the morning.” Check out the short video, as well as a selfie of the good-looking couple wearing black in support of the #TimesUp movement. “DAMN, my wife is hot,&...

Mariah Carey Corrects Al Roker, Promises to Snatch Sharon Stone’s Diamonds on Golden Globes Red Carpet

Golden Globes pre-show viewers might not have expected a joint interview with Mariah Carey and Sharon Stone on the red carpet, but as it turns out, the two powerhouses are neighbors and pals, making for a perfectly sassy setup for the night. Poor Today show host Al Roker didn’t know what he was walking into when he landed the dual interview Sunday night (Jan. 7), but it was nonstop fun — for the viewers at least. When Roker asked Carey about being nominated “again” for the Globes, she corrected him that this year’s nod for her title track of The Star is actually her first. “I have never been nominated for a Golden Globe as a songwriter,” she said, adding, “Many times men forget that women also write songs and I’m really excited about it because of that.” Poor ...

Demi Lovato Shows Off Her Freckles in New Swimsuit Photos on Instagram

2018 seems to be the year of the swimsuit for Demi Lovato, who has posted photos of herself in another one-piece on Instagram. The singer showed off her body confidence in a pineapple swimsuit, accessorized with blue sunglasses and wet hair, Sunday evening (Jan. 7). The day before, she shared a closeup shot that showed off her freckles. “Wishing there was an emoji for freckles,” she commented. The photos represent a positive step for Lovato, who’s previously opened up about her struggle with an eating disorder and body image issues. Earlier in the week, she wrote, “this year I’ve decided I’m letting go of my perfectionism and embracing freedom from self criticism. Learning to love my body the way it is is challenging but life changing. Giving up my eating disorder h...

‘The Greatest Showman’ Wins Best Original Song Golden Globe for ‘This Is Me’

Songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul previously nabbed the same award for ‘La La Land’ Not only is the soundtrack for The Greatest Showman No. 1 on the Billboard 200, but the P.T. Barnum musical biopic’s song “This Is Me” nabbed the best original song award at the 2018 Golden Globes. Songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul previously won the same award for La La Land’s “City of Stars,” which also netted the Oscar for best original song in 2017. Shortly after that, the celebrated duo’s Broadway smash Dear Evan Hansen nabbed a Tony for best original score. As an added bonus, the pair had their award handed to them by Kelly Clarkson and Keith Urban, who sang the words “the Golden Globe goes to…” before announcing the winner. As Kelly explained, “We’ve now officially sang at the Golden ...

‘The Shape of Water’ Wins Best Score at the 2018 Golden Globes

Veteran film composer Alexandre Desplat took home best score at the 2018 Golden Globes on Sunday night (Jan. 7). It was the composer’s second win in nine nominations at the awards, the first coming for The Painted Veil in 2007.  “Merci beaucoup,” Desplat begun his acceptance speech, going on to give special shoutout to Water director Guillermo Del Toro. “Your movie has moved me so much, inspired me so much,” the composer gushed, before thanking Del Toro  for “all the dinners we had in Paris, and many more to come.”  Desplat’s Shape of Water score emerged victorious in the category over the music to Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (Carter Burwell), Phantom Thread (Johnny Greenwood), The Post (John Williams) and Dunkirk (Hans Zimmer)....

The NeoMano robotic glove brings control back to paralyzed hands

This time last year, we looked at Neofect’s Raphael, a “smart glove” designed to help patients rehabilitate a hand after a stroke. At this CES, the Korean company is showing off a brand new glove concept — one designed to offer a more immediate solution for those suffering from paralysis due to a spinal cord injury.  Like Raphael, the NeoMano prototype is a strange looking thing. This one’s leather, wrapping around the heel of the hand, two fingers and a thumb. Rather than some other solutions that cover the entire hand, Neofect’s model only covers these three digits, which should be enough to execute most tasks. A large battery module sits on the bridge of the hand, and the whole thing is tethered to a control panel.  It’s not an elegant solution, exactly, but it’s potentially an empoweri...

Messi equals Muller goals record in Barca win over Levante

Messi (left) played a clever one-two with Alba (centre) before opening the scoring Lionel Messi marked his 400th Barcelona appearance with a goal as the La Liga leaders maintained their nine-point advantage with victory over Levante. Messi opened the scoring at the Nou Camp, chipping the ball to Jordi Alba and volleying home the return. His 365th La Liga goal equalled Gerd Muller’s record for goals in a single one of Europe’s top five leagues. Luis Suarez produced a superb strike before half-time and Paulinho tapped in a third in second-half stoppage time. Suarez stepped over Messi’s low ball across the six-yard box, affording Paulinho a simple finish for his seventh league goal of the season. Suarez took his own tally to 11 and could have added more but for a fine Oier s...

Everybody Wore Black to Golden Globes 2018, Except These Two Ladies

Golden Globes 2018 Everyone Wore Black Except These Two 1/7/2018 5:07 PM PST The Golden Globes was a sea of black Sunday — except for a couple speckles of red and white … from two ladies who apparently didn’t get the memo.  The only two women who appeared not to wear black in solidarity with the Time’s Up and #MeToo movement were German fashion model Barbara Meier and actress Blanca Blanco. Meier rocked a beige floral gown, and Blanco wore a revealing red dress — reminiscent to her even more revealing outfit from last year’s Globes.  They might not immediately stand out as Hollywood heavyweights — Meier was a winner on “Germany’s Next Top Model” … and Blanco has starred in flicks like “Showgirls 2” and “Ber...

Iraq have ‘done homework’ on Malaysia at AFC U23 Championship

Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson debate whether or not Malaysia can make a big impression at the U23 Asian Championships. Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts break down Malaysia U23’s upcoming fixtures against Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Jordan. PJ Roberts delves into JDT’s recent signings that will strengthen the Malaysian champions in 2018. Iraq Under-23 coach Abdul Ghani insists he is not underestimating Malaysia as his side prepare to take on the Young Tigers on Matchday One of the AFC U23 Championship in China. Ong Kim Swee’s Malaysia are certainly the underdogs, with Saudi Arabia and Jordan the other teams in Group C. However, Ghani believes the fact that the Malaysians are there on merit ensures his side will face a tough task on Wednesday. “We have done our homework on Mala...
