Hotel Henry Transforms from Abandoned Asylum

The gothic brick building that was once the Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane for over 75 years now has a new future. After undergoing a major remodel, the mental health hospital is now been transformed into the Hotel Henry, an 88-room hotel for guests seeking a stylish stay. Guests rooms feature high ceilings, contemporary European bathrooms, LED mirrors, and modern Porcelanosa features. Rooms with a single king-sized bed or two double beds sell for about $175 per night while rooms with extra seating go for $350 per night. The building was designed by architect Henry Hobson Richardson while Frederick Law Olmstead designed the grounds.
