Kylie Jenner Relaxes With Baby Stormi in Adorable New Photos

It looks like Kylie Jenner is getting plenty of mother-daughter time with her precious mini-me, and she can’t resist sharing the sweet moments. Jenner documented some leisure time on her Instagram and Snapchat stories Monday (Apr. 23), relaxing makeup-free at her Calabasas home while snuggling up with baby Stormi.  The reality star and makeup mogul showed off her daughter’s “prettiest little hands,” peeking out from the sleeves of a cherry print outfit. Jenner also slyly zoomed in on her own face, showcasing her clear complexion, subtle freckles and lush eyelashes behind Stormi’s messy head of hair. Even though the 11-month-old appeared to be mid-snooze, that didn’t stop the tiny celebrity from adorably giggling and smiling at the camera during a video, ...

John Oliver Enlists James Van Der Beek for ‘Talkin’ Tehran’ Mock Podcast

The “Last Week Tonight” host and the “Dawson’s Creek” star got into a heated exchange on the parody podcast. John Oliver once again went after President Donald Trump and his administration on Sunday’s (Apr. 22) Last Week Tonight. Among this week’s topics: Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, the Iran nuclear deal and the FBI raid on Trump’s longtime attorney, Michael Cohen. Oliver also played part of a parody podcast he joked that he was launching with James Van Der Beek called Talkin’ Tehran. The audio bit featured the real voice of Van Der Beek as the two got into a heated exchange. “If you didn’t think that James Van Der Beek was an expert in Iranian history, you need to expand your expectations of what people are capabl...

‘Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story’ Brings ‘One of the Most Important Conversations’ to Tribeca Film Festival

The JAY-Z-produced docuseries premiered at the festival on April 20. A moment in Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story lingers on a pair of white and red Air Jordans. The photograph shown, taken of Trayvon Martin’s body hours after his death on February 26, 2012, is worked into the first episode of the six-part docuseries executive-produced by Trayvon’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, and JAY-Z. The filmmakers intentionally refrained from showing the slain 17-year-old’s body: The camera doesn’t pan out, but the dreadful reminder that Trayvon will never untie these laces sets in anyway. We see Trayvon’s skin — an exposed ankle between the tongue of his Jordan and his khaki cuff — because one of his pant legs hiked up slightly when his body fell after George Zimmerman...

Friday Night Lights is on Hulu now. You’re welcome.

Friday Night Lights, the football show that was never just about football (and one of the best shows on television), is now streaming on Hulu. Say goodbye to the weekend is all I’m saying. Hailed as one of the most honest depictions of a functioning adult relationship in its portrayal of the husband and wife duo of “Coach” Eric and Tammy Taylor, Friday Night Lights also worked wonders for showing the life and high school times of teens in a small Texas town. The show is phenomenal. If you haven’t seen it, you should, and if you have (and if you’re me, you have many many many times), this weekend is as good a time as any to watch it again. For Hulu, this is part of a clutch of shows from the ’90s and 2000s that are touchstones of popular culture. The streaming service already holds Will &am...

Tina Fey Introduces ‘Mean Girls’ Musical Performance, Surprises Superfans on ‘The Tonight Show’: Watch

Viewers of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Thursday (Apr. 19) didn’t have to purchase theater tickets to hear a song from the new Broadway musical Mean Girls. Guest Tina Fey — who wrote the play as well as its 2004 movie predecessor — introduced Barrett Wilbert Weed (who plays Janis Sarkisian in the show) for a performance of “I’d Rather Be Me.” “This song comes at a pivotal moment in act two, when everyone at school has basically lost their minds,” Fey explained to the audience before the camera panned to Weed standing confidently onstage, sporting a rocker-chic ensemble that highlighted the feminine alter ego to her tomboy character. Weed delivered the bold, soaring notes effortlessly, defiantly flashing her middle fingers when the l...

‘Scandal’ Finale to End With a Brand-New Stevie Wonder Song

After seven seasons and countless D.C. dilemmas, ABC’s Scandal is coming to an end on Thursday night (April 19). But there’s one last twist before Olivia Pope hangs up her white hat: A brand-new Stevie Wonder song will debut on the series finale, Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland production company announced. There are no further details yet on the song’s title or release, but we do know it will play at the end of the episode — making it the final song of a series known for its memorable throwback music moments. Wonder has been a frequent favorite for Scandal music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, who talked to Billboard ahead of the finale about the show’s classic ’60s and ’70s soul vibe. “Even though the action is present-day, we’ve had m...

The 10 Best Musical TV Episodes, From ‘Buffy’ to ‘Bob’s Burgers’

Riverdale’s excellent musical episode on Wednesday night has inspired us to take a look back at some of our favorite ones in television history. From Community’s spot-on Glee parody episode to Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s cheekily named “Once More, With Feeling,” we’ve ranked the most memorable musical episodes to have graced the small screen. 10. Arthur — “Locked in the Library!” Anyone else permanently scarred by this scary episode of the childhood classic? Arthur and his friends get locked in the library overnight, as the title suggests, and everyone resorts to breaking into song. Basically, it’s a nightmare, in the best possible way. The pseudo-rap “Library Card” and a parody of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are particularly hard to forget. [embedded c...

Over the next two weeks, the remaining 24 American Idol contestants will be chopped down to the 12 who will compete for the votes of viewers. Sunday (April 8) night’s episode features half of said two dozen still-standing hopefuls being mentored by country radio personality Bobby Bones before performing solo one last time for the judges at Hollywood club Academy. Katy announces at the top of the first hour that she and fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan are “looking for the ‘it’ factor.” Let’s see if they find it. Dominique Mononymous singer Dominque is up first, with his lively rendition of Rufus and Chaka Khan’s R&B staple “Ain’t Nobody.” He hits a pretty impressive high note toward the end, but overall, it won’t be the most memorable performance of the evening. The judges, o...
