The set was staged at the April 15 Heineken Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai.
A familiar face on Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart rules the April 2018 ranking, as Armin van Buuren leads the latest tally along with ranking at No. 9 with a separate clip.
The chart, whose latest edition recaps April 2018 activity, is a monthly look at the widest-reaching and most-reacted-to videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics company Shareablee. Rankings are determined by a formula that blends reactions, comments, shares and first-seven-days views.
Van Buuren leads the April ranking with a 20-minute video of his performance in the garage at Formula 1’s Heineken Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai on April 15. The clip secured the top rank in three of the four chart metrics, earning 28,000 reactions, 8,000 shares and 1.1 million views in its first seven days, according to Shareablee.
An additional van Buuren video, coming in at No. 9, was uploaded the same day, showing the DJ walking on the starting grid for the Formula 1 race, which was won by Australia’s Daniel Ricciardo; it snagged 11,000 reactions and was viewed 18,000 times in its first seven days.
The only metric van Buuren’s top video didn’t lead — comments — was instead ruled by the April 2018 chart’s No. 2 video, uploaded by Alicia Keys. The April 2 video, captioned “spontaneous connection,” featured Keys singing along to John Mayer’s “Gravity” as well as speaking to her fans who were commenting on the clip in its 15-minute runtime. It elicited 20,000 comments to go with 26,000 reactions and 701,000 first-seven-days views.
Other appearances on the April 2018 chart include three videos from Bob Marley, whose estate streamed a pair of concerts the late reggae singer performed in the late 1970s and early ’80s as well as a 1979 documentary featuring Marley.
