A 41-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Ibrahim Oladeji, has urged an Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos State to dissolve his five-year-old marriage over the paternity of the only child of the union. The petitioner, who resides at Gberigbe area of Ikorodu, told the court that he suspected that hid wife’s ex-husband was the father of the child. “I don’t believe the child belongs to me, he doesn’t look like me, he resembles the other man.“I have seen them together and thereafter, she became pregnant,” he said. Two schoolgirls,13 and 14 badly stabbed during fight over boyfriend

Two schoolgirls have been badly stabbed during a clash between young pupils from rival schools on a playing field in Reading. The victims, aged just 13 and 14, suffered multiple knife wounds to the stomach, shoulder and leg during the brutal melee that was filmed by other schoolchildren on their phones.The two girls were tonight detained in hospital, where their stab wounds were described as ‘serious.’A third girl, aged 15, was arrested later by police and taken to a police station to be questioned. Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner has joined the growing list of high-profile men who have been accused of sexual harassment in recent weeks. Kater Gordon, a former writer on the popular TV show, said in an interview with The Information on Thursday that Weiner harassed her during a light night in the office. As they were working together, Weiner allegedly told Gordon she owed it to him to let him see her naked. The experience filled her with “shame” and “regret,” she told The Information. Gordon, who started on Mad Men as Weiner’s personal assistant and was promoted to writer’s assistant and then staff writer on the show, won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series in 2009. Ogun Chief Judge pardons 106 inmates

The Ogun State Chief Judge, Justice Olatokunbo Olopade, on Thursday granted pardon to 106  inmates as part of efforts to decongest prisons in the state. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Olopade pardoned the inmates during her three-day tour of prison formations at Ibara and Oba in Abeokuta as well as those in Ilaro, Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode. NAN reports that 38 inmates were released from Oba prison, 31 in Ibara, 13 in Ilaro,  eight in Sagamu, while 16 inmates were set free in Ijebu-Ode prison. Speaking during the visits, the Ogun Chief Judge said that the pardon was to decongest the prisons across the country in line with the directive of the Attorney-General of the federation.
