The Oakland fest returns for an 11th year on Oct. 13 and 14.
Oakland, California will celebrate the return of Treasure Island Music Festival in October, with Tame Impala and A$AP Rocky at the helm. The festival took a year-long hiatus after construction began on the actual Treasure Island in 2017, which resulted in a relocation for the 2018 fest to Middle Harbor Shoreline Park.
Also on the bill for the Oct. 13 and 14 festival are Lord Huron, Santigold, Courtney Barnett, Jungle, Pusha T, Sharon Van Etten, Aminé, Cigarettes After Sex, Soccer Mommy and more. Two new collaborative projects will make appearances as well, with Diplo and Mark Ronson bringing their yet-to-be-revealed tunes as Silk City to Oakland, along with Laff Trax, the brainchild of Toro y Moi and Nosaj Thing.
The festival is produced by Noise Pop and Another Planet Entertainment, and this year’s lineup includes artists who “have been on our wish list for years,” Jordan Kurland, Noise Pop Industries (and Brilliant Corners Artist Management) cofounder said in a statement. “The entire team and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how the lineup came together this year.”
Two-day GA and VIP tickets will go on sale Friday at noon PT at TreasureIslandFestival.com. Tier 1 GA tickets start at $165 and $325 for Tier 1 VIP passes, but that price level only applies to an “extremely limited number” of passes. Once those are sold out, Tier 2 prices are $175 for GA and $335 for VIP, then regular prices will begin ($185 for GA and $335 for VIP).
